A friend sent me this and so I am reposting it for all of you--post a comment with your random facts =). Your assignment is to post 6 Random Facts About Myself, these are probably completely uninteresting, but oh well :)
1. I still sleep with the teddy bear my parents gave me for Valentine's Day when I was 7. His name is Jason (named after my older cousin) and he is the perfect size for snuggling (and protecting a sore tummy from being injured in random rolling over at night!)
2. If I am eating salad with my dinner, I need a separate bowl so that the hot food doesn't touch the lettuce and make the lettuce warm and soggy (or so that the dressing doesn't run into the other food on my plate).
3. I love calendars and scheduling and then am horrible at actually keeping to my schedule.
4. I'd rather sing old hymns set to new music any day over newer contemporary praise songs (there are certainly exceptions to this, there ARE some new great praise songs, but in my mind nothing beats the theological depth of old hymns)
5. I have an amazing extended family who I do not get to see nearly enough. My cousins are incredible =)
6. My favorite way to start my day is with my cup of coffee and Matt Lauer on the Today Show.

ReplyDelete1. I’m pseudo-ambidextrous. I write, and throw a Frisbee with my left hand, but everything else is right handed. It is kinda weird, but I also am able to write with my right hand, but the handwriting is really bad. This is mostly due to the fact I broke my left arm in JH.
2. I still hold to the sarcastic belief that either Steve Jobs (CEO, Apple) or Howard Schultz (CEO, Starbucks) is the Anti-Christ. Both are racing to take over the world and could very easily do it.
3. My Junior year of college I had to impose a rule upon myself that if I ever got invited out to do something and I wasn’t doing homework I had to go out, mostly due to a habit of playing video games for about 6hrs a day. Hey … it helped me come out of my anti-social fallout shelter.
4. My two pet peeves are the spelling of my first name when people should know better, and people being bluntly rude to others. This doesn’t apply to me cause I really don’t mind it, but it is more like the High School bully complex where someone is picking on someone else.
5. I only know what I’m talking about 80% of the time (hence my B avg in school). Most of the time I find that people like to talk, and being a person who likes to listen, I’m happy to let them so that I don’t look foolish. Yet there are some people who can give me no end of grief (in love, thx Katie and Laura) for some very simple statements
6. I dressed up as a Care Bear when I was about 7 for Halloween, and have the pictures to prove … er blackmail myself with.
