God's covenant can't be broken

Today I am thankful for a lot. But I think the biggest thing that comes to my mind is Ross' sermon this morning. He was actually preaching on Noah's ark, and the covenant, and he made some statements I needed to hear today. He said that a covenant is bigger than a promise, and that if you broke a covenant you could actually die--covenant comes from the phrase "to cut." So when God makes a covenant, he is basically saying, "if I break this, I will die." BUT, God is still alive, and still faithful and so because of his covenants with us we can know that we worship the God who is faithful, who saves, who promises, who delivers, and THIS affects our theology. I am so thankful for that reminder today. I am also thankful for:
  • the free microwave Chuck and I scored yesterday! It was just sitting by our elevator and we need one cuz his apartment doesn't have one!
  • I got a ton done today, laundry plus half my last paper written--I'll write more tomorrow and should be DONE tomorrow evening!
  • A great morning at church--receiving a wedding gift, a lot of best wishes, a few prayers and a lot of hugs from people I have grown to love over these last 4 years. I'll still pop in and out of Burbank, but will primarily be at Glendale Pres as Chuck is starting his 9 month church internship there in April.
  • I ended up with a surprise urgent care trip tonight (I'm fine, just a strange reaction to a medication that freaked us out--so Chuck took me in), so I am thankful I will be fine and can get my prescription changed tomorrow with hopefully no more weird side effects!
