All Church Camp

I know it has been a little while since I've posted--life feels exhausting enough without other random tasks like updating the blog! (Which is kind of sad, because I enjoy updating it so much!) Last weekend was our all church camp with Glendale Pres, so we had a great time getting to escape to the local mountains. Chuck went up on Friday afternoon with the youth and youth leaders, and spent the night, while I worked and spent the night getting ready for his birthday surprise :) I drove up early Sat. morning and we spent the whole day playing and getting to know people at this new church of ours. We decided to save a little money & not stay overnight on Sat. night, but drove back after the evening activities instead. When we came back Sat. night I had the apartment decorated with streamers for Chuck's birthday--it was really on Monday but I knew Monday would be a day of work, class and meetings for us so I decided to make Sat. night his birthday instead. He had said he only wanted to celebrate with me, he didn't care about a big party, so I had put together a birthday scavenger hunt around the apartment with notes leading him to various surprises and gifts--wine, cheese cake, presents, and a few other surprises :) He was surprised which was totally my goal!
