My name's Sarah, and what I post here are bits and pieces of my stories. I've always loved stories. I remember clearly the night I learned how to read (it clicked one night, and that is one of my earliest memories. I felt as if a brand new world was opened up to me). One of my friends tells me all the time that when she thinks of me, she thinks about words. I love words, I love crafting them, I love playing with them and learning new ones. Here on Whispering Streets is a place I can play with words and be a story teller.
I love Jesus and I try to follow Him with my life. I stumble and fall and make wrong turns and get up and keep walking a lot.
This is my wonderful, crazy, fun-loving husband, Charles. We met on a street corner in Old Town Pasadena (I'm really not kidding) and have been married since March of 2009. We both finished up our Masters of Divinity at Fuller Seminary in December of 2010, and moved to the Northwest where he became a youth director at a church in Seattle. We went through a lot during 2011, and quickly realized this wasn't the church for us to be serving in. We restarted a nationwide job hunt and landed ourselves back in Los Angeles 10 months after moving north at a church that is a MUCH better fit theologically and philosophically when it comes to ministry. We are thrilled to be back here even though I adore the Northwest!

I have 5 beautiful nieces and 1 awesome nephew who I don't get to see nearly enough. Other random facts about me in no particular order: I think my parents and sister are three of the greatest people ever, and wish they lived closer. I have the world's greatest friends who have faithfully walked with me for years. I love cooking and eating as healthy as possible because I really do think it's part of being a good steward of the bodies God has given us. That being said, I hate exercise and am working on overcoming that! I love reading almost anything, but Jodi Picoult and Shauna Niequist are two of my very favorite authors. Changing seasons makes me super excited, something I don't get enough of in LA. Thanks for stopping by, feel free to leave a comment or a link to your blog so I can come check out your little corner of the cyber-world!
